Clamp Lamp

I have been working on a couple of projects over the last week, but my time has been limited, and I don't have much progress to show you. So instead, I'm going to show you one of the embroidery-related gifts I got for my birthday:

This is the Daylight Duo LED lamp with clamp, which my lovely mom gave me. It clamps on to the back of my embroidery frame and gives me light from two sides. The light bars move and can come together or extend to about a 190-degree angle. Having light from two sides is a-MAZ-ing! There are no longer any shadows making it hard to see if I'm missing a pattern line or getting slightly off with the angle of my stitches.

The light bars also have four different levels of light, which I can adjust by simply touching the end of each bar. Here's what the lamp looks like from the side:

The neck bends and rotates so you can get exactly the height and angle you want from the lights. This really is a great little lamp, and although I've only used it a few times, I am already in love with it. It just works so well for JE.

JE really does require good lighting because the work is so precise and technically difficult. I've found to my cost a few times that my lighting was insufficient, which caused me to make some mistakes and not notice till later when I was in better lighting. I think this is going to be a game changer for me! Thanks, mom!
