If you saw my last post about needle minders, you'll know that I had a collection of 10 of them. Emphasis on had. That's right, the lure of Etsy could not be avoided and I picked up two new ones. It's feeling rather springtime-y and pleasant in Arizona this time of year, so I picked two flowers to add to my collection. The first was this very cheerful sunflower:
It's pretty good sized — about three inches tall. And I just love it. It's so bright and cheery. I needed this one because I've been doing some needle painting in a hoop, so the hoop had to have its own needle minder because the other ten were already busy doing various jobs on other WIPs. Obviously. And then I realized that some of the needle minders currently working a shift on my JE piece were just a bit big. It would be so nice to have a tiny needle minder that could hold down my little circle pattern for making stamens. Which is where this lovely little blue flower came in:
As you can see from the needle I put on it for perspective, it's super small — just a bit smaller than my thumbnail — which makes it perfect for holding down corners of things on my JE piece. And perhaps best of all, I have a round dozen now, which is such a nice, symmetrical number. I feel a dozen needle minders is just about the right number.
For now anyway. 😉
